nestled in the heart of a charming seaside town, the wayward inn is a cozy, inviting escape filled with vintage treasures and lush plants A breath of fresh air, this modern suite has a West Coast vibe.
the suite offers everything you need for a relaxing stay: a comfortable pull-out couch, a queen-sized bed with a canadian-made mattress, and a luxurious soaker tub with a shower attachment (please note there is no standard shower) The fully stocked kitchen includes a dining area and the covered outdoor patio in our garden is ideal for morning coffee, rain or shine. we even provide umbrellas and toothbrushes—just in case!
on rainy days, cuddle up on the couch with complimentary popcorn and watch netflix on the large flat-screen tv and a selection of dvds You’re also welcome to log into your own streaming services.
we take pride in offering locally roasted salt spring coffee beans, a coffee grinder, and a choice of brewing methods including french press, pour-over, and drip coffee maker Coffee not your thing? There’s also a selection of Westholme Teas from the Cowichan Valley, featuring both black and herbal blends.
we love all flora and fauna, and take great joy in wild spaces Our home is surrounded by beautiful shade and flower gardens, a vegetable garden, and a small orchard. Surrounded by vibrant gardens, a vegetable patch, and a small orchard, our home is a sanctuary for nature lovers. We practice permaculture, using compost from our chickens and incorporating native plants like sword ferns. when in season, enjoy complimentary fresh produce from our garden—now that’s local!

guests have exclusive access to the private suite and patio: these areas are entirely yours to enjoy, offering privacy and tranquility throughout your stay
please note that there is one locked storage closet off the living room that is not accessible to guests
additionally, the stairs leading from the parking space to the suite and patio are shared with a small office located in our backyard While it’s rare, you may occasionally see someone using the stairs.
other things to note:
a heads-up: we are parents! our little one arrived in october 2022, so you will hear us upstairs from the suite as we live above it We appreciate your understanding! Earplugs are provided in the bathroom cabinet, just in case.
if you’d like the pull-out couch bed set up before your arrival, just let us know when booking, and we’ll be happy to prepare it for you
at this time, we are unable to provide snow or ice removal However, we happily offer road salt and a snow shovel—just ask if it's needed and not left on the patio ahead of time..
