Summary: Overall, it was good. The owner was easy to work with and very responsive. We didn't experience an issue during our stay. The rental is in a quiet part of a neighborhood that is "rough" in my personal opinion. While we did not experience anything negative, there are locked bars on all of the windows and the surrounding stores/right down the street area does not feel very safe at all. The main drawbacks are listed here: lack of furniture and kitchen dishes (i.e. side table in bedroom, not that many glasses or overall dishware). In the hottest part of the September heat, the house would barely stay cool and the bedroom in the back of the home was so hot; basically unable to sleep in it (our opinion). The bathroom in that room has no air either and it also doesn't have outlets to for blow dryers, etc. Also, the towels need to be replaced. Most of them were filled with rips/holes, especially washcloths. These types of things go a long way in a rental. Overall, it worked for our stay but these are simply things I would make other renters aware of.
