Summary: We stayed here 8 days. The place was very clean and nice accommodations. We liked that it was close the Kona airport. Nice location to go anywhere on the island from. Even had ocean views. The front bedroom has a window ac unit (though you rarely need it). The other bedroom has blackout shades. The unit has Jalousie windows (very common in Hawaii and tropics). We just opened them up and let the breezes do there thing day and night. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans, plus they provided free standing fans too, though we didn't need them. Kitchen has most everything you need (stove top "no oven") to make meals. Lots of storage and hanging closets rods. Be patient when wanting to use hot water for shower and washing dishes. It takes almost 2 minutes for hot water to come out of the shower, but it will be hot. Water heater must be located along ways a way. If you are a light sleeper bring ears plugs. The jalousie windows don't block the sound. There are a lot of birds calling through out the day and occasional traffic sound. A couple of the jalousie windows we could not get to open. We would not hesitate to rent this place again.
