Ty Crwn Mawr is an authentic Mongolian yurt with log cabin kitchen/dining room/shower/toilet located high in Cynwyd forest in the beautiful Berwyn mountains in North Wales on our off grid eco property.

ty crwn mawr is a very comfortable yurt with spectacular views which can easily accommodate seven people It has a king size bed and six single futon beds which double up as chairs/sofas. It is beautifully furnished with lovely linens, wall hangings, rugs and fairy lights creating a warm and magical space.
right next to the yurt is a small shed containing a compost toilet and hot shower, with a small covered kitchenette (with gas hob, sink and hot tap) attached to it
there is a secluded seating area and fire pit/bbq to the south of the yurt Cast iron cookware for the fire pit is provided.
there is a wood burning stove in the yurt which heats up the space very quickly A basket of logs, some firelighters and kindling are provided. Further logs are available on request for £5 a basket. Firelighters and kindling are also available.
all pots/pans, crockery and cutlery, mugs and glasses are provided We simply ask that you wash them before you leave and after each meal if other guests are in the smaller yurt. Dishclothes, tea towels, hand towels are provided. Bath/shower Towels are not provided. Please bring your own with you. Bedsheets, duvets and pillows are provided but feel free to bring extra with you.
the yurt is light and airy with a clear round window in the roof and a north facing door to help keep things cool on sunny days and hot summer nights The floor and walls are insulated so it's toasty even in the coldest of winters.
our other smaller yurt is situated about 30m away but screened by trees/bushes and with its own seating area, fire pit etc You’ll be hard pressed to remember it’s even there! The smaller yurt accommodates four more guests, and is available if you would like to have a larger group come to stay. Exclusive use of the whole site is possible if you want complete privacy. in keeping with the ethos of our home, we have tried to use reclaimed/recycled/up cycled materials wherever possible
there are standard electrical sockets in the yurt including usb charging points and low energy lighting there and in the bathroom/kitchen which all run off renewable energy sources So by staying in Ty Crwn Mawr you will be doing your bit to reduce pollution and carbon emissions.

in order to comply with countryside planning policy, we operate as a greener camping club members only campsite The club was established by people with a passion for sustainable, eco-friendly camping holidays. Membership costs just £10 for the calendar year and provides access to some of the greenest campsites in the UK. It also includes participation in the Club's 'Trees for Life' scheme, whereby a tree is planted for every Member we enrol. When you book, we will automatically enroll you as a member of the Greener Camping Club. The cost of this non-optional membership will be covered in the booking charges as the 'GCC Membership Fee'. If you are already a GCC member then please let us know after booking and we will refund the £10 membership charge after you check out. When booking you agree to provide us with your full name and email address in order that we can enroll you as a GCC member. We’ll issue your membership e-card by email before you check-in. If you do not provide your full name and email address within 48 hours of booking and at least 7 days before check-in, then we reserve the right to refuse you entry to the campsite with no refund.
