Summary: Could not check in when we did (much after the time that we were able to check in because of travel delays). Was on the phone with vrbo (India?), for an extraordinarily long time - could not understand / hear my customer service person because the background noise was so loud on their end, then waiting for the host to call me back at approximately midnight. Terrible experience.
