Positive: This is a modern property which is well located in Kelowna. It is clean and the setting is lovely. On first impression it looks of a really high standard. Communication with the owner via e mail was fine, but very last minute.
Negative: As stated above it looks like the accommodation is of a really high standard. However, on closer inspection and having stayed for 3 nights, there are things that need to be given more attention. The photographs, ratings and price all suggest an exceptional property: this is not the case currently. The ceiling light fittings in one of the bedrooms were loose. I do not thiink it is dangerous, but it is not how it should be. The bedside light in one of the bedrooms has bare wires showing. We did not use it. The washing machine clearly had a fault and would not spin. If you want to cook the kitchen is poorly equipped with few cooking utensils and is very small. All of these things should be checked by the owner, but clearly this had not happened. The accommodation is at the back of the house (the main photo of the house shown on the website actually shows none of the accommodation) and hence is surrounded by the owners property and other family members. This means the kitchen is next door to the owner's kitchen and all that separates then is a locked frosted glass door. Our stay here was fine and the issue is about what is expected. With more work and attention this accommodation could be at the higest end of the market. Currently it is not.
