the cottage was built in 1859 and is heritage sa and national trust listed It has been through many lives over a hundred and forty years, including tea rooms, a library, a mechanics institute, a sweet shop and a few others. Wild Olive Cottage was designed to provide an unforgettable stay for one couple.
upstairs is a magnificent, victorian antique, nickel and silver queen-size bed with high-quality linen The cozy combustion fireplace (with complimentary wood) is wonderful to sit around on cold nights and there are plenty of things to entertain yourself with - smart TV with Netflix (!), high-speed complimentary WI-FI, a DVD movie library, games, books & a smart speaker to play your favourite music. Within the cottage, there are some beautiful pieces of furniture and artwork, much from local artists.
an internal metal spiral staircase joins the two floors Downstairs you will find a fully equipped kitchen, the benches are topped with local Mintaro slate and the cupboards are Blackwood. There is an under-bench oven, glass cooktop, microwave, toaster, capsule coffee machine & dishwasher. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking your meals and is supplied with cooking necessities such as cooking oil, salt, pepper, and sugar.
