located directly on the majestic little miami river, surrounded by wooded hillsides, and a natural wellspring-fed creek, this is the ideal setting for both relaxation & fun for all ages You'll fall in love with the expansive grounds, the fire pits surrounded by adirondack chairs, & sweeping river views, as well as over 300 ft of private shoreline to wade out in pristine waters, cast a line and snag a smallmouth, or easily launch a kayak for a lazy float trip with friends. if unlimited options for ‘unplugged’ family fun (without having to drive anywhere) is what you’ve been seeking, the watershed delivers like no other vacation retreat! tune in to nature’s soundtrack of rustling leaves, clear, rushing creek water, and excited shouts of discovery from the kids, when they spot their first salamander, crawdad…or maybe even an arrowhead!

while there are plenty of kayak and canoe outfitters to host your float trip, you are welcome to bring your own 'yaks and rack 'em on our private riverside rack
there are two large fire pits, surrounded by adirondack chairs, to cozy up on cool nights No worries if you didn't earn your 'firestarter badge' - an ample, dry firewood supply is stacked near both firepits, along with firestarter logs and lighters, as well as s'mores roasting forks inside the house.
fun fact 1: 'the heist' isn't just a cutesy name this cabin, built in 1860, earned its place in cincinnati lore for its role in a famous rembrandt art heist (gone wrong); this 'keystone cops'-style caper started in 1973, at the taft art museum and ended under the front porch of this cabin!

we do not allow smoking of any kind on the property This includes, but is not limited to, cigarettes, weed, or any type of illegal substance. If determined that smoking has occurred on the property during your stay, you as the listed guest will be subject to a $250 fine upon check out.
per the city of cincinnati and its ordinances, the number of people on the reservation must not be exceeded at any time unless otherwise approved by the host If determined that an additional guest visited the property during your stay, you will be subject to a $500 fine upon check out.
cameras that are on the exterior of the property are recording 24/7 and can be used to support host if needed We have a zero tolerance policy. Please note that at anytime we find out that the connection point on the interior of the property has been adjusted, it would be subject to fine or removal from the property.
