Welcome to a unique island getaway on Bruny Island! I have been renting ‘Alkira’ out as short term accommodation for over ten years and am so delighted to share my 'home away from home' with you.
the spacious 2 bedroom holiday house is situated in lunawanna, bruny island It is a short drive to Cloudy Bay, The Lighthouse and Bruny Island Winery. Other attractions include the Bruny Island Cheese Co, The Smokehouse, The Chocolate Factory, Berry Farm, Oyster Farm, and Adventure Bay Tours. the allonah cafe is a great general store that's close by and we are also close to the only pub on the island!
it is situated on the quiet part of the island with a beautiful beach within walking distance from the shack You can enjoy spectacular views of the Hartz Mountains and the D'entrecasteau channel every morning sitting out on the front deck.
the shack has two large, newly decorated bedrooms and a room off the second bedroom which has a bunk bed for extra guests/children All linen is provided and tastfully decorated. Although we have redecorated to include homely comforts and a rustic design, ''Alkira'' still maintains that shack look and feel which is why my family love coming over to Bruny to unwind and relax.
the bright and sunny kitchen is also fully equipped (with also a coffee machine byo pods!) and there are even some cook books for inspiration We have a woodheater in the living room which heats the whole house on those rare chilly nights. Outside there are BBQ facilities and an outdoor entertaining area with a big deck which you can enjoy. Whether you want to stay a few days or a couple of weeks you can be assured that the shack has everything you need away from home.
