The outdoor space at this home is phenomenal, offering a raised outdoor shower, gas grill, covered deck area, two other open deck areas, and a roof-level deck with amazing views. The first floor of this home offers a large living and kitchen area with a beautiful and bright sunken dining room. The first floor also offers a half bathroom as well as a bedroom with a queen size bed. The second floor offers a lofted seating area with access to the upper decks with have amazing views as well as a master bedroom with a queen size bed and en suite bathroom. The ground level basement area of the home offers a third full bathroom as well as two bedrooms; the first bedroom contains 1 queen bed and the other contains two twin beds as well as a twin bunk bed (4 twins total). The basement also offers a laundry area with a washer and dryer. Summary: This is a great piece of property, in an excellent location, with lots of space and wonderful decks on all three levels. Unfortunately, it seems to have been rented out for a long time to people who really beat it up, and the owners haven't kept it clean or repaired. Just a few highlights: There's no hot water in the bathroom on the top floor. There are also signs of mildew and mold in the showers. The shelves on the refrigerator door are all broken. Some of the cabinet doors in the kitchen are held on with duct tape. There's lots of glassware and flatware, and wonderful counter and cabinet space, but bring your own knives if you like to cook. The ones provided are nicked and chipped and don't cut through anything. There are greasy handprints all over the woodwork, which is worn and splintery throughout the house. The hardwood floors are all scratched and worn from years of overuse and lack of care. This house needs to be deep cleaned and have some serious upkeep done in order to live up to its potential. On the plus side, the Del Mar Vacations staff were responsive and helpful throughout the coordinating / checking in and out process.
