The Center is “off the grid” which means we generate our own solar power and water heating in addition to having our own water supply.

we are in the country away from the city and the quaint town of hilo is about 20 miles away There you can go to the Farmer's Market, visit the Japanese Gardens, and you can tour the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Gardens. You can even paddle board off Coconut Island.
