A major trailhead is at the end of the lane, walking distance from the front door. Bring your recreational vehicles or just bike or hike your way around the woods. There are 50+ lakes in Montmorency County which provide opportunities for boating, swimming, and fishing. For you birdwatchers, the Kirkland Warbler travels all the way from the Caribbean to nest in the Jack Pines that are within walking distance from our lodge. This is night sky country, so if you are lucky enough to have a clear night, you can enjoy amazing views free from light pollution. Pine Oaks Lodge has a secluded feel, but is just 3 miles from the Village of Hillman centrally located for short and longer day trips to a multitude of state and national forests and parks, as well as other outdoor sports, activities and tourist destinations..
