Villa Toricello is a beautiful rustic farmhouse in south Umbria that sleeps 14 people, situated just outside Lugnano in Teverina, a beautiful small hill-top Medieval town. Lugnano is 1 hour train/drive to Rome; 2.5 hours train/drive to Florence.
toricello is situated in 7 hectares of olive groves with stunning views of lugnano village and the tiber valley stretching to florence; behind, the house is surrounded by wooded hills The house has a lovely outside terrace for eating, a large barbecue and pizza oven (either for self-use (we can help with advice and wood!) or we can help prepare pizzas or barbeques), and a 15 meter pool surrounded by grass overlooking the beautiful panorama. Inside: kitchen, living room with inside dining area.
sleeps 14: four double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (one is a separate converted building set overlooking, and two double/twin bedrooms sharing a large bathroom
although handy, it is not necessary to hire a car as we can arrange train collection (attigliano station is 10 mins away on the rome-florence line) There are two supermarkets and a small restaurant 10 minutes walk from the house, and Lugnano village (15 mins walk) is a beautiful historical village with 2 bars/cafes, a bakery, a small grocery shop and a small health food shop, a pharmacy, bank and post-office. There are buses (every 2-3 hours) that stop just outside the farmhouse going to Amelia (15 minutes) and Orvieto (40 minutes), stopping at the small villages along the way. Trains from Attigliano (10 mins away) go to Rome, Florence, Perugia and Sienna for day trips. Toricello is perfect for family holidays, groups and parties.
