location: the forest lakes community is 8 miles north of bayfield, and 8 miles south of lake vallecito recreation area Forest Lakes also has a playground and neighborhood lake for fishing - Lake Simpatico - with a walking trail around the lake. This home is approximately 20 miles from downtown Durango, 15 miles from Sky Ute Casino, and 50 miles from Pagosa Springs. There is plenty of dining, unique shops, and outdoor recreation in the surrounding area.
pets: this home is pet friendly! dogs will be excited to explore their very own space in a fenced back yard After a full day, they can cuddle with you on soft blankets or rest on a cozy dog bed. We allow up to 2 dogs. The pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay). Pets must be crated if they are left home alone.
cooling: please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have ac, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s. There are pedestal fans in each bedroom and an evaporative cooler in the main king bedroom.
