Positive: The Old Stable was in a lovely quiet location with a short stroll into town for all amenities. Loved the little garden for eating breakfast where a robin visited everyday. With the Cotswold Way being directly out of the back gate we were able to go on some lovely long walks... Surprising where you can end up. Loved the large comfy bed, handy washing machine for a quick wash, and so nice to have a large powerful shower. All the pubs were friendly. The Old Spot had plenty of outside seating though we didn't get to eat there as only served food at lunchtimes. If you walk straight up the steep hill from outside the pub, through the woods..15 mins in total...you will end up directly outside the clubhouse on the golf course. Great walk around the course too, you can go through the woods, lovely views, took us 2 hrs...dog enjoyed it! Spring Villa sports bar does a nice wrap. William Tyndale monument was worth a visit starting from Wotton Under Edge... Would definitely book The Old Stable if returning to the same area again.

Negative: Only a couple of smalls points. The winter duvet in 35 degrees!...we striped it and just used the cover...though this would have been super cosy on colder nights. Would be handy to have a floor mop and some multi purpose cleaning spray...
