Positive: The Nest is a very cute apartment over a garage. It is beautifully laid out with everything you could heed for a weekend plus lots of lovely extra touches. There was milk, a selection of teas and coffees, breakfast pastries and snacks laid out, plus a choice of alcoholic beverages. There was a whole basket of lovely toiletries to sample and so much attention to detail - even some toothbrushes if you forgot to bring one! The bed was so comfortable, there was plenty of hot water and a radiator to take the chill off in the morning. There is a kettle, a toaster, a microwave and a tiny fridge, so we could make breakfast easily. It was rather wet and windy when we were there so we didn’t spend that much time in the village, but there is a little community shop and cafe that were cute. The nearby pub was good - very busy and recommend booking a table not in the bar as it was very noisy. Limited vegetarian options though. Kim has gone to a lot of trouble to make this comfy and welcoming and we had a lovely stay.

Negative: The WiFi was not working when we were there. The phone signal was very weak, but no internet meant even the tv didn’t work. This meant that we couldn’t catch up on the rugby or Goodwood, which meant that the pub did very good business from us. Kim and her husband tried to make it work but it didn’t happen. There was so much positive about the place I can’t mark it down because of this - and because Kim was so thoughtful! - but I did feel I should mention it. We are not an exceptionally tall couple, but the ceilings are sloped so do mind your heads.
