Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Beautiful home with plenty of space for a large group. Yes, the layout is unique - you have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the kitchen and shower - but it was comfortable. Six beds (3 of them twin size), two toilets, and a huge dining table, AC in each room, and beach towels accommodated us well. The location is also a plus. There is a great roti shop and boutique directly below. A convenience store up a block, tea across the street, and many restaurants, vendors and jewelry stores within a 3-minute walk. Heads up to the nightlifers, 95% of these places are closed by 5pm. Not sure about parking but the location makes getting around easy via taxi and safari. They're everywhere, friendly and ready to take you anywhere on the island. The hosts are good communicators with many recommendations.
Negative: Honestly, the biggest headache was getting in and out of the property. There are big locks on the gate to get in and then on the door, but this is a small tradeoff for feeling secure in the space, which we did. Though the layout was not a deal breaker, the placement of some outlets was a challenge, especially in the kitchen.
