The 'Stealth Cottage' is a completely remodeled historic 103 year old cottage just across Paw Paw Lake Road from beautiful Paw Paw Lake. We have 115 feet of lake frontage right across the street. We are located on what we call 'the Westlund Ponderosa'. It is our family's complex of two cottages, one lake house all on 2 full acres of beautiful wooded property. We have just finished our 12th summer renting 'the Stealth Cottage'. New for 2021 is a outdoor dog kennel for your dogs when you are out exploring. We also added a water softener for 2021. The cottage sports 3 bedrooms with a loft. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a large dresser and flat screen TV. It has a bath with a corner shower. The new washer & dryer are in this bathroom in a closet. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. The third bedroom is a walk through room to the master bedroom and has a Queen size bed. If you want privacy in that room the master bedroom has a door leading out to the patio. The loft is entered up a ships ladder and has 4 twin beds and a double bed. Not much headroom but a great place to crash out. We do not recommend the loft for infants and toddlers! But for school age kids to active adults it is fine. We sleep a total of 12 in beds. The living room has two couches. It has a round table perfect for poker with a leaf to seat 6 for dinner. We also have a 50" flat screen HDTV with full cable TV with HBO and Showtime.. Also included is a nice stereo w/ dvd/cd player, and a input for your ipod or personal music player. We have speakers both inside and out on the deck. The kitchen is fully equipped with a new ge microwave, whirlpool self cleaning oven, dishwasher, and fridge with a ice maker. We have settings for 24 and include a mixer, blender, electric griddle, two cast iron griddles, pizza pans, and plenty of pots and pans. We also have a table with 4 chairs in the kitchen. Next to the kitchen is our favorite room in the house. It is called the 'MOAB' which stands for 'The Mother of all Bars'. It is a fully equipped dry bar with a under counter beer & wine fridge and a wine rack for your local purchases. It has a handmade bar and a round bar table with bar stools. Outside we have a 14' x 24' wood deck with 2 tables and comfy chairs. Down two steps is a 14'x16' patio with a picnic table, another small table and chairs and a stainless steel natural gas grill with a side burner and side table. We have a outdoor fireplace for your use with an initial supply of firewood. Additional firewood can be purchased for $5 per large rack. Head down to the lake and you will find your own slip with outer pipes jetted in for a 6 way tie up so your boat will not hit the pier when it gets choppy. We can handle up to a 30' boat. We have added a second pier for fishing and swimming off of. I has a 16'x16' platform at the end. For your use we have a paddle boat, and three kayaks. Also down at the lake is 'The Rocking Chair Lounge'. It is a small bar with a tilt up metal roof for security. It has a granite counter top and a raised 12'x8' platform with four southern rocking chairs. it has a small fridge and a
stereo with 6 speakers and two subwoofers so you can hear it clearly when you swim off the pier Next to the 'RCL' is a large concrete patio with a table and three benches for gazing out on the lake. Outside we offer a regulation grass volleyball court with a line set and three sets of bean bag boards with plenty of bags (cornhole), and other yard games. You and family will enjoy beautiful Paw Paw Lake. Search 'The Stealth Cottage' on Facebook for more pictures. We encourage our guests to post their pictures on Facebook. Please note that this is our complex and my sister and I have guests up often. We enjoy sharing the complex with our renters. We normally leave our renters alone and the lake is quiet during the week. You will not be disappointed with the Stealth Cottage. It is the best affordable VRBO rental in southwest Michigan.
