Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Great location. Just a couple of minutes walk to pubs, restaurants, shops, beach and harbour car park. The apartment is quiet, light and airy. Lots of windows to let in light and to open for breeze/fresh air. Well equipped kitchen. A comfortable bed and hot, powerful shower. Wonderful to have a dishwasher and a washer/dryer for laundry as well as a clothes airer. Plenty of clothes space in the large wardrobe and a large number of coat hangers to use.The downstairs hallway is marvellous for storing/hanging coats, storing luggage and footwear. There is a wood burner in the living area - logs and firelighters provided - but we did not light a fire as the weather was very warm during our stay. Outside terrace/decking is a lovely sun trap with a pretty view of the sea. The owners of the apartment were helpful, friendly and very accommodating. Would very much recommend this apartment and would be keen to stay here again.

Negative: Not a case of 'didn't' like' but these might make the wonderful apartment even better: A parasol for the sun terrace - terrace fully exposed to the sun and becomes so hot that you cannot sit outside and enjoy the outside area and sea view. An adjustable parasol would allow for sitting out and using the area at any time of the day. Blinds/curtains on the internal glass of the bedroom doors would help to darken the bedroom and provide privacy from the french windows which overlook the sun terrace and other properties.There was an almost very embarrassing situation when the window cleaner turned up on the sun terrace as I was about to disrobe/dress in the bedroom! There is no facility to pay for parking on the harbour for a week or more or to pay by app or on line. You have to physically visit the car park at least every 24 hrs to renew parking.This is not the fault of the owners of the property but it is a significant inconvenience and the local authority/Mousehole Harbour need to do better wrt this. Cleanliness could have been better especially in relation to the kitchen shelves, drawers and cupboards. Get the feeling the regular cleaner is in a rush most of the time and attention to detail is somewhat neglected.

Summary: A fabulous apartment. Would love to stay here again and for longer.
