The Boulders was originally part of a well-known Maine summer resort. Back in the 19th century wealthy people in New York and Boston would throng, by steamship, to the cool, clean restful Maine coast for the summer. They called it rusticating. The Lookout Inn was a resort built for rusticators, and over the years has expanded to include a number of cottages – including the Boulders.

Views in every direction are spectacular. The ocean water of Jericho Bay surrounds the peninsula and is dotted with islands. one is even close enough to walk to at low tide!
