make sure you experience the creek at high tide – especially incoming tide (1-3 hours before high tide) – where you can walk to the creek mouth, jump in and float down the creek without lifting a finger! when the weather i clear and sunny, the water colour resembles fiji it is so stunning!
there is a ‘creek beach’ on the north side of the creek which is great for kids! you can access from tweed coast road and the walking track to the creek beach next to ambrose brown park/playground Again, incoming high tide is always best for the creek as it is tidal and flows in from the ocean (rather than the outgoing tide which brings water from further inland which can be murkier).
