PLUS, it's just steps away from both the Dollar Creek Trailhead, just down the street, as well as the Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area. In the Summer, it lies less than 1.5 miles from a few beaches that are known as local favorites; Skylandia State Beach and Lake Forest Beach.
