this 1950s vintage ranch-style farmhouse in the country is a perfect setting for your family get-away
β’ this family homestead reflects the love, strength and support of family Nestled in the rolling foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, this rancher provides a country atmosphere with access to over 30 acres. During your stay, we welcome you to enjoy fresh in-season produce from the garden (e.g., beans, squash, tomatoes, cucumbers), raspberries, blackberries, grapes and apples. During winter months the rolling hills provide great snow sledding and snow shoeing opportunities. After a day in the snow, you and your family can reflect on the memorable events of the day in front of the fireplace.
β’ the homestead includes 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, fully-equipped kitchen and game room in the basement The large covered back deck overlooks the serene country setting. Often times in the evening, deer are seen sneaking into the orchard to feed. The deck also includes a dining table, multiple patio chairs, and an outdoor propane grill. There is also a picnic pavilion just off the back deck with a large picnic table, and Pop-Pop's porch swing overlooking the garden. Other amenities include a washer, dryer, fireplace, TV, DVD player and free Wi-Fi (works well for web browsing and emails but not for streaming).
β’ if you love nature, there is plenty of wildlife and amazing hiking opportunities on the 30+ acre premises that are available for your enjoyment There are also many nearby attractions. Within a 30 minute drive, you can enjoy Tionesta Lake, Canadohta Lake, Woodcock Lake, Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad, Drake Well Museum, Queen City hiking and biking trail system, and much more. In under an hour drive you can also enjoy all that Erie, PA has to offer, including Presque Isle State Park. The western border of the Allegheny National Forest is only 25 miles east of our homestead property.
