In Kakovatos you will find super market, cafeterias and don’t miss to taste fresh fish dishes at “Nikos Fish Tavern”. Another food option is “Avli Restaurant” in Naochori settlement, only 2km far from our building. The main agricultural products produced in region are raisins, olive oil, vegetables, wine (red, white and rosé), tomatoes and legumes. Amongst the many delicious local dishes, do not miss piglet, graters (small thin pasta) and boiled crabs for which the region is famous.

The Kaiafas Thermal Springs features 2 springs located in a natural cave by the foot of Mount Lapithas. The water, coming out at 32-34 °C, is rich in sulfur compounds and minerals, with strong therapeutic properties. Here, according to mythology, Centaur Chiron washed his wounds, after wounded by Hercules. In Kaiafas baths flock every year numerous visitors to enjoy the beneficial and healing properties of its thermal waters.
