Above the clouds, on the slopes of Mauna Loa the Lava Bus has come to rest on the Lava Land Homestead. 100% Off-Grid, this fully renovated former tour bus will delight adventurous travellers looking to experience the star-gazing and "other-wordly" experiences of upper Ocean View. Coffee Lovers will enjoy grinding their own Ka'u coffee, perfect with local honey to sip at sunrise. Have a BBQ or small fire to stay warm while you enjoy the epic sunsets.
the space:
the bus features a memory foam mattress with
sheets and duvet, a dining table, chess board table, loveseat and kitchen We include Hawaiian coffee and local honey along with fresh eggs from our chickens.
3person bed is a 2" floor sleeping mat with sleeping bag and pillow.
the bus has a hot water shower with fresh towels and wash clothes and a compost toilet, with simple instructions for use
life on the volcano is always an adventure and the weather can add to the excitement, bring a few warm clothes and sturdy shoes There is a propane heater if needed.
please note: this is a remote location, some cell phones may struggle to get service There is no wifi. Lava can be difficult to walk on; this adventure is not recommended for people with limited mobility.
