beach note- the wet sand beach is only available during spring/summer low tides, it changes time from 6 am to noon on different days
there are usually no low tides in the afternoon
when the wet sand is exposed there is about 50 more feet of sand underwater to about waist deep, and you can walk for 1,000 feet
when tides are higher you can still go down the steps and walk around and over large rocks to the water
with low or high tides there is always danger if the waves are large
children can’t be left alone at the water, stairs or cliffs
remember there are 60 steps to the beach so it’s hard to carry kayaks or canoes down
