tissington village offers a fantastic walking trail which stretches for 13 miles along an old railway path, it is equally great for cycling Beyond the village there are many more walks to enjoy such as Dovedale stepping stones with Thorpe Cloud or the High Peak Trail. If you are more of thrill seeker then head for the day to Alton Towers theme park which is a short 20-minute journey from the property. There are many market towns surrounding Tissington such as Ashbourne, Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock, all great places to explore the independent shops, restaurants, cafés and bars as well as each having a lovely park to stroll around.
