On the covered back porch, relax in several log rockers and watch the clouds float by and the ever changing skyline of the Smokies. B-B-Q your catch of the day or your favorite meat on the grilll; or enjoy picnic on on the Amish picnic table on the back porch. Hikes up and down the mountain display laurel, wildflowers, blue & black berries private road. We regularly seen flocks of wild turkey, deer, rabbits & other wild life.

just down the scenic 4 mile road past two amazing waterfalls (pictured below) is the launch site for rafting the nantahala Just 4 miles the other direction is the beautiful Nantahala Lake. Three rafting companies conveniently close to drive. NOC approximately 6 miles from river launch site. **Note, all the steep inclines on our gravel, mountain road have been asphalted/paved which makes our road navigable by any 4 or 6 cylinder vehicle. (Please note: our town is Topton; Bryson City is about 35-40 minutes from us.)
