Positive: The location is perfect: within walking distance of the theatre district and directly across the street from The British Museum; Tottenham Court Road station is a 5 minute walk away so anywhere else is an easy tube ride away. Plenty towels were provided and the beds were very comfy and clean. The decor is tasteful, in keeping with the period property, especially the wood panelled stairway to the flats. The welcome package was much appreciated and the kitchen was well equipped and rather lovely.

Negative: If you want a quiet stay then this isn't the place for you! Its proximity to The British Museum makes it a very busy street, full of souvenir shops, including the one directly below the flat which plays dance music all day. We were out most of the day and the street is quiet at night so this wasn't a problem. I'd suggest earplugs if you don't want to be woken by workmen at 7.30am; this is evidently an area of perpetual renovation...but who goes to the centre of London for peace and quiet? You'll paying a lot more if you do, that's for sure.
