The cottage is also within easy reach of the beautiful beaches of Ravenglass, Drigg, Seascale and St. Bees.
there is walking along footpaths and bridleways out of the back door and just a short drive will take you to the starting point of climbing one of the western peaks including englands highest mountain, scawfell pike
there are shops in the local villages of gosforth, holmrook and seascale which can be reached by a 5 minute car journey The local pub at Santon Bridge is less than a mile away and within walking distance. There are many more pubs and restaurants in the area.
