Positive: Everything! This is our second visit as Alex's guests and just as the first time it was absolutely perfect. This visit we also had the wonderful opportunity to meet his partner, Brigitte. Second time around we decided to leave our car at home, travelling from the UK, flying into Bordeaux and catching the local train to Lesparre. Alex kindly helped us arrange a private transfer and once in Montelivet we rented bikes directly from him. It was an idyllic and simple stay cycling back and forth each day between the daily market, the beach and the onsite pool. The accommodation itself is perfect for two with a very well equipped kitchen, a comfy bed and thoughtfully arranged decor with everything that you could need, coffee machine, plenty of knives, bowls etc. Vensac is easily reached via bike, 10km each way on the flat and very safe, most of it on dedicated cycle ways. We visited Cheatux David for wine tasting and a lovely family run restaurant for a well executed simple lunch at A La Bonne Table.
