This holiday cottage is in West Yorkshire, England, in a small rural hamlet within an idyllic local beauty spot, Merrydale. This is the site of the first water-powered mill in the Colne Valley and is near the picturesque villages of Slaithwaite and Marsden.The elegant cottage, which includes a barn, sleeps up to six people comfortably and has three double bedrooms.On the ground floor, along with the large farmhouse kitchen and hall, the cottage has a twin-bedded room and shower room.A spiral staircase takes guests from the hall to the spacious first floor with its beamed sitting room with its wood-burner. There is a balcony off this living room from which conventional stairs go down to the private terrace and barbecue area that includes a swing seat. This is the perfect place to sit and soak in the tranquil atmosphere.The two upstairs bedrooms are the double bedroom with a 4' 9" hand-carved antique four-poster bed and its ensuite bathroom and the twin-bedded room, also with an ensuite bathroom.The holiday cottage is fully equipped, including broadband access and satellite TV.A number of facilities have been provided to ensure that guests have a comfortable stay.
