Positive: I enjoyed the stay there. The two best aspects of it were the friendly staff and the tremendous location right across from the train station. Do not judge a book by its cover. It doesn't make a great first impression. But it's comfortable and convenient
Negative: I fear for an older person staying there as the stairs are steep and dangerous, the carpets look old and toward end of life. If you're expectation is a luxury hotel it is not that. It's just a comfortable place with a great staff
Summary: Good stay for the money paid.
