Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: A grand old hotel, full of history - even with its own historical collections on display. The leadlight windows are particularly beautiful. Aging gracefully in a relaxed and comfortable way. My ensuite room was clean and comfortable, and staff members Mark and Talia were friendly and welcoming.

Negative: It was low season and the dining facilities were closed. Not a problem as food was available nearby, but I would like to have experienced dining in those surrounds.

Summary: A historic hotel, elegant and full of character.
