Summary: Pros: Villa Catarina was excellent. Seamless check-in, the host was accommodating enough to let us drop off our bags before the check-in time, and communication throughout our stay was great. The villa was clean, and the location was fantastic (30 mins walk to Albufeira Old Town, 10 mins walk to a big LIDL, and good Uber coverage). The facilities like the kitchen, big fridge-freezer, outdoor pool, balconies, covered and uncovered terraces, and barbecue were all very much enjoyed. I would certainly come again, albeit with a smaller group! Cons: The listing says it sleeps 5 (1 sleeps on the sofa bed). This isn't very transparent. The sofa bed is a sofa and it doesn't fold out into anything more than a sofa. The friend who pulls the short-straw will be left disappointed, as the "bed" doesn't have any bedsheets either. We would have also appreciated little extras, like small amounts of oil, salt and pepper for cooking, so short-stay guests aren't buying months worth of basic supplies. Additional toilet roll for a 5-person group staying 4 nights would also have been appreciated, as again this led to us buying 10 extra rolls only on our penultimate day!
