Summary: I am asthmatic and have to be careful wherever I go... Spent several hours upon arrival just vacuuming the mattresses and couch which were covered in "hairs" and dust. Overgrown yard and front attracted a lot of bugs, especially mosquitoes. My daughter was the one who got bitten the most. More "critters" in the house...dead and alive...ants, moths, spiders, and mosquitoes especially. Garbage from previous occupants was piled up outside the front of the house, adding to the already unkempt appearance of the lawn. Found a broken lamp in the front room and food left behind in the freezer and fridge...we ended up cleaning that too, but did leave whatever was already there from before. Floors and counters were also wiped down upon arrival. A lot of webs etc in the basement. Was not fun trying to do laundry and having to swat off a bug or spider appearing out of no where. It's obvious there is a critter problem, with the little bait traps left around. Some of the lighting was a bit dim for the space at night. Having a picture of the furniture would have helped better prepare for what could be needed or in how to make sleeping arrangements. It would be worth it to invest time in "staging" the house with bedding etc. The toys and games should be in a bin or shelf unit. Price was not appropriate for what we walked into. The only benefit was the location in proximity to the family we were visiting...everything was 10-15 minutes away...
