You will be nestled between the national forest and the Hood Canal; therefore, you will find plenty of outdoor opportunities to hike, bike, boat, and fish. Harvest your own dinner: shrimping, crabbing, shellfishing, and salmon fishing are nearby. Also, centrally located and makes a great home base for some fantastic day trips for all kinds of interests. Day trips northwest include the Dungeness Spit, lavender farms, berry farms, and Crescent Lake Lodge. Day trips northeast include cideries, the fantastic fun seaside town called Port Townsend (jazz/blues festivals in the summer), Fort Warden, Fort Casey, and Fort Flagger.
