the neighborhood has an urban feel and is diverse and growing There are a lot of Historic buildings as most the neighborhood was built around the 1900's. While many buildings and houses have been renovated and look almost new, some need work or are in the process of a major renovation.
at the center of the neighborhood is a park named after kentucky's first governor, isaac shelby The park, Shelby Park, is about a five minute walk from the house. The park has tennis courts, basketball, a playground, a splash park, and a half mile long running/walking track.
