smith mountain lake is a boater's and fisherman's paradise There are 500 miles of shoreline on this 40 mile long, 20,000 acre lake. If you have your own boat, you can launch it at nearby Mitchell's Point Marina and dock it at the Cabin's dock. Boat rentals and wave runners are available at several lake locations. From our location it is about 1000 feet to the main channel of the lake. For the fisherman, we are located on Witcher Creek where the stripers spawn. The lake is stocked with bass, muskies, northern pike, and other small game fish.
