amoudara is a huge beach 7 km west of heraklion, which led to the tourism development of the entire region The options here are many, especially in the summer. Swimming and water sports in a well-organized beach, and quiet corners for the more solitary. Coffee drink or eat literally on the beach is an experience. At night restaurants, cafes restaurants bars, and clubs are at your disposal until the early hours. But also, the surrounding area of exceptional interest. The sources of the Almyros river are nearby, forming the largest habitat of the area. The gorge of the Three Churches will delight peripatetic and beyond. A passable trail leads to the top of the conical mountain Strouboula for a nicer look at Heraklion.
