Lake at house gets very weedy and marsh like in the late spring/summer/early fall months, although the channel stays open and is great for kayaking either through the winding channels back to the Shakey river or over to the large open recreational lakes. Beach area at house not ideal for swimming/muck bottom. Shakey Lakes Park is a very short drive away and offers swim beach and ice cream and snacks. Located on a small chain of lakes that you can enjoy fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and motorized water sports.
