casa perro loco has a perfect location for those who want to live in the center of the action and to be able to walk to enjoy the many parks, restaurants, cantinas and attractions of merida Within a few blocks of each of Santa Ana (near the famous walking avenue of Merida -- the Paseo de Montejo), Santa Lucia (with many of the best restaurants of Merida) and Santiago (with its market, shops, grocery store and pharmacy), there is literally no need for a car.
you enter the home into the dining room and transported into the magic of the merida colonial homes The ceilings are nearly 7 meters high and have the thin beams known as "vigas". The pasta tiles, so loved in Merida, are colorful and add a richness to the decor. Meticulous attention was given to restoring this home and it is apparent in every room.
the kitchen is large and well-equipped A new island provides a large surface for meal preparation. Purified water is provided, so there is no need to be concerned. We provide you with basic kitchen equipment and appliances including a toaster and coffee machine so that you can fuel up with a satisfying breakfast to start your day. Coffee, creamer and sugar is provided -- no need to run to the nearest mini-mart for these basics. Also, every stay includes four free beers so you can start your vacation immediately upon arriving.
the dining room leads to the living room, with a comfortable sofa and tv for family gathering Entrances to the pool/patio area and the two bedrooms are found in the living room.
each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom The master bedroom is large with a small sitting area. There are glass doors which lead from the master bedroom to the pool/patio area. The hi thread count and premium cotton bedding and sheets are selected to ensure a good night's rest. Don't worry if you forgot your shampoo because both bathrooms are equipped with their own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers.
the patio is completely enclosed by high walls for privacy and security The pool is a perfect size for cooling off. A washer and dryer are located in the closet off of the patio.
the entire house is air-conditioned by mini split units to ensure your comfort no matter what season that you visit Overhead fans are also in every room. All of the doors are screened.

2 The name on the reservation must match the person staying in the house. To verify, we may require a photo of ID of all people entering the property.
3 Quiet hours are observed from 10pm to 8am on the interior and exterior of the property. The purpose of quiet hours is to maintain a quiet and comfortable environment for all guests and neighbors.
4 No smoking inside the space. If a guest is found smoking or evidence of smoking is found after check-out there is a $500 USD fine.

5 Please only flush toilet paper down the toilet.
6 An excessive cleaning fee of a minimum of $75 USD will apply to any reservation which caused excessive cleaning services to be rendered.
7 Guests are responsible for any breakage or damage to the property.

- one small (under 15kg) pet is welcome, but the guest is responsible for all damage caused by their pets An extra pet fee of USD$75 will be charged.
- electricity is included for stays of 2 weeks or less; and for stays of longer than 2 weeks, no electricity is charged unless the usage greater is usd$3 a day for the 1br or 2br homes, or usd$5 a day for the larger homes
- lost key or electric key fob will result in a us$20 charge
- we are not responsible for any left items after check-out If we do have to ship an item, there is a minimum of $50 (depending on the size of the items) shipping fee by host plus the shipping company cost to ship the item. It may take up to 14 days before we can ship the items.
additional notes:
in order to keep the pool clean and maintained during your stay and for future guests, our pool staff is scheduled to service the pool twice per week The total service should take 30 minutes to 1 hour.
merida is a hot and humid climate, and this climate tends to host insects As a result, you may see insects in the house. We do monthly extermination to try to prevent problems but it's not a perfect solution. We also supply bug spray and citronella candles to assist.
we are not responsible for any items brought into or left at the house If you believe that you left something in the house after your departure, then please let us know. We will verify whether we have the item and share our office address so that you may pick it up. We will store any such items in our ‘Lost and Found’ located in our office for 30 days. If no one has come to claim those items within the 30 days, then we will dispose of it.
