Positive: Very unique property. Really by yourself in the rainforest. The terrace is amazing for watching birds and bats (including fruit bats). The house itself is nice. Mari was a great cook and made delicious food. The nearby beach was remote and beautiful. The host was responsive and helpful.
Negative: You really are isolated, which is a big positive but also has some downsides. Very dependent on bringing your own water and any food you bring or someone prepares for you. There’s no way to just go out and pick up anything once you’re there since it’s towards the end of a very challenging road—this made things a bit challenging especially for our kids. There were some issues with a functioning shower and electricity. It added to the remote feel but also made things a bit more challenging.
