The road network is very good, making it an ideal location from which to explore much of Scotland.

Just 9 miles away is the bustling market town of Stonehaven with an outdoor heated pool – brilliant in summer. Take a trip to Dunnottar Castle, a proud monument overlooking the sea near Stonehaven and the inspiration for the location of the Disney film, Brave. Montrose, with clean sandy beaches, golf courses and leisure activities is just 13 miles away and it is easy to access the Angus Glens from here. You may want to travel on the Victorian Heritage Trail, through Edzell and Fettercairn towards Banchory.
