The picturesque village of Matlock is only a short drive away, and is a Victorian market town with plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs, and from here you will find Matlock Bath, home to the Peak District Mining Museum, Heights of Abraham, Gulliver's Kingdom theme park, and the great Rutland Cavern. Towns such as Bakewell, Ashford in the Water, Monsel Head, Castleton, and Buxton are ideal for a day trip.
