To the front is a small apple orchard, which gives the property its name. As you arrive, you walk through the trees to the cottage, and you feel that you are truly away from it all. Yet the property is only a short drive from Edzell with several well-established venues serving food, and a selection of local shops. There is also a 9 and 18-hole golf course and a covered driving range. The nearest train station is 5 miles away at Laurencekirk, which also has a selection of good shops and a café. Ideal for exploring this beautiful and unspoilt region, the majestic and atmospheric Angus Glens offer excellent walks for all abilities through moorland and heather and include ten munros for those who like a challenge.
