ski access is king at the moonlight mountain homes, with direct ski-in/ski-out access to moonlight basin and big sky resort Access lift start date varies, but typically early to mid-December. Access lifts may close before Big Sky Resort's closing day depending on snow conditions. No access until lifts open and after lifts close. Direct access to the Madison Base Area Ski School makes morning lessons a breeze.

step out the back door onto bootlegger ski access Follow this to the turn-off on the left for Alpine Meadows to get to the Madison Base or stay on this access to ski to Ironhorse Lift and the Moonlight Lodge.

from the top of iron horse lift or six shooter lift, follow signs for powder river Ski through the concrete tunnel and PAST the first skier bridge on your right. Take a hard right turn on Natawista which is the first right after the bridge. Follow this access over two skier bridges. DO NOT turn left off the main path. It will transition to Bootlegger which will bring you back to the house.
