once an industrial area, old fourth ward has blossomed into one of atlanta's premier destinations for dining and shopping, thanks in large part to ponce city market, a must-visit for those who like to eat, drink, and do This massive food hall, retail space, and rooftop amusement park, located in what was once a Sears, Roebuck & Co warehouse from the 1920s, isn't the only attraction though—a stroll down Atlanta's BeltLine trail will take you to various other markets, eateries, parks, and notable spots. Old Fourth Ward borders on the Sweet Auburn Historic District, with both areas sharing significant Martin Luther King, Jr. sites (The King Center, his birth home, and his church) as well as Edgewood Avenue's lively nightlife scene.
