How about waking up to views of the sun rising from the sea as you open the curtains? The beach in front of the house is just a few steps away. Pakefield has everything you need - it is an attractive village just south of Lowestoft, famous for its wide, sandy, award winning beaches. As you stroll from the house along the sea promenade lined with colourful beach huts, you'll soon reach these, passing various pubs and coffee shops along the way. There are wide sand / pebble beaches right in front of the house. To get away from it all, follow the beach in the direction of Kessingland along the eroding cliffs.
you'll find some great pubs beach cafes and all the amenities you need within walking distance of the house, so there's no need for a car if you fancy a refreshing break by the sea. You could even take are boat tour from Lowestoft Harbour to see the seals at Scroby Sands or head inland towards the Broads. Heading inland, the Somerleyton Estate with its lovely gardens is well worth a visit as are the old market towns of Beccles and Bungay and the city of Norwich with its impressive medieval Cathedral.
