Travel a further to Seahouses, 25 miles, for a real seaside experience with fish and chips and boat rides to the Farne Islands to see the seals or puffins. The border town of Berwick is only 40 miles away, steeped in history, and once belonging to Scotland. A walk through the surrounding farmland and countryside will take you to an award winning ice cream parlour.
